All Things Homecoming, Fall Festivals and cold weather essentials that I can’t live without!
We are in homecoming season here and I’m loving it! I live in a small town in Rhode Island and my oldest son is experiencing his first homecoming this weekend! Well, this whole week has been spirit week but he and his buddies did not participate (which I was bummed about). I’m such a sucker for school spirit and I thought the daily themes were pretty funny! On Tuesday it was Country vs. Country Club- my son and most of his friends are obsessed with golfing so they had everything they needed but opted out 🤪. This Friday night is the homecoming game on our HOME FIELD! Caiden is still in his walking boot (but off the crutches!) We went to the doctor yesterday and he has at least one more week in the boot. So he will be on the field supporting his team but obviously not playing. Saturday is the homecoming dance- woooohoooo! I know I have it easier with boys- all of my friends who have girls have shared the drama of dress choices, shoes- heels or sneakers, hair appointments, nails appointments, flowers- yikes! Luckily, Caiden will throw on his suit (and one walking boot!) and off he goes with his crew. No date this year and I’m ok with that! He has a great group of friends and they are all going together. I’ll share pictures next week! I’m curious about homecoming in other towns- where are the floats? The parade? We don’t have that and I’m bummed- I want it back! What does your town do?
🍁Fall Festivals are also in full swing! Living in New England we have the luxury of multiple fall festivals every single weekend and being a small business owner, I LOVE being a vendor in as many markets as I can! This is certainly my busy season and I’m so here for it! I dropped a few new products this week that I am excited to get out to customers. Check them out…..

Another new pattern- the wale tale!! 🐳 Do we love it?! This was actually much easier than the anchor & I might want to keep it! I haven’t posted this one yet on my website but it will be live soon! Again, customers will be able to choose their tale color and background color!
This weekend I am teaming up with A Fitting Experience for the East Greenwich Sip & Shop event on 10/19 from 12-4pm! If you live in RI, you need to come visit us! There are many local shops on Main Street participating and each store is offering deals! Cozy Carmel and A Fitting Experience will have cocktails, candy, raffles, exclusive deals, live blanket making and incredible merch! We hope to see you there!!
With the weather in New England forcing me to turn my heat on (yes, I turned it on), I am slowly getting back into my chilly weather routines. My skin gets so dry from October- February and I rely heavily on a few products…..my go to for lathering my face is……
This moisture seal is incredible! I first got it at my dermatologist and have been addicted ever since! After I wash my face at night, I put this on and it locks in all the moisture! Best part- it doesn’t feel cakey and it doesn’t stain my sheets or clothes if I get it on there. It is super light weight and lasts all day or night! I’m fighting a little cold right now and have had this in my bag with me all week to reapply after blowing my nose 🤧. Next up….Magnolia Soap Shower Oil and body butter! I’m addicted! My go to scent is Bitty Bum Bum but they have so many to choose from! I use these products EVERY SINGLE DAY! The shower oil says to apply while you are still damp in the shower but that felt weird for me so I dry off and then lather up, then I put the body butter over it. I can’t tell you how many compliments I get about how amazing it smells! Of course, I finish it off with my Replica perfume (beach walk) that I can’t live without. You can’t beat these products for the price!

Last but not least, would I even be a small business owner if I didn’t include a small humble brag about Cozy Carmel blankets! They ARE a chilly weather ESSENTIAL! We have a few dates left for 2024 to book blanket making parties and have already started receiving holiday orders! I know it is difficult to wrap our brains around holiday shopping but sooner is ALWAYS better than later!
